HORSEMAN ELITE AUCTION IS A GREAT SUCCESS

Sep 12, 2017

The Horseman Elite Auction, organized by Flanders Mare Auction and Auction Antwerp, can be called a success. The horses were sold easily.

Flanders Mare Auction delivered 12 mares which were all sold. Kornetta d'Heyboght became the most expensive one, she was sold for 42,000 euros, a bargain if you know that this 7 year old Cornet Obolensky mare is in foal to Diamant de Semilly and has a For Pleasure-foal.

For 30,000 euros, Red Rose EH, bred by Eurohorse, was the most expensive foal. This Kentucky van 't Ruytershof x Darco filly is a daughter of Carrera de Muze, active at 1.60m level, and was sold to Muny Sunk Stables. Rhea van de Pereboom, a Chatman x Randel Z-filly and thus the same pedigree as Gines van de Klundert, was sold to the Morssinkhof family and was the second most expensive foal. For 15,000, Royal Grey L3B, a Cicero Z x Berlin-colt became the third most expensive foal.

In the category Young Horses it was Elite de Ponts that was sold at the highest price. This 3 year old Malito de Reve-mare jumped with much electricity, which was worth 40,000 euros.

There were also two embryos auctioned. Here the Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Kannan was the most expensive one for 22,000 euros. This Kannan-mare is nobody less than Kismet 50, who jumped on the highest level with Candice King and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.

The evening began emotionally since Harrie Smolders decided to auction his Longines watch and blanket, won at the LGCT in Chantilly. He raised the money for Nora, who suffers from brain cancer. With the 7,000 euro, Harrie will make the life of mother Heidi more bearable in these hard and expensive times. Who couldn't attend the auction but still wishes to donate can do that online.
