Who are we

The Centrum ter Preventie van Zelfdoding (Center for Suicide Prevention) is the organisation that runs the Zelfmoordlijn, an anonymous and free-to-reach helpline that offers support through phone, mail and chat. On top of this, the organisation also actively pursues other avenues of prevention, such as creating general awareness and educating members of the public, employers and health staff in matters of prevention.

Gifts

Gifts to the CPZ are used to further expand our reach. More money means more volunteers that can be trained and managed. In 2021 the money we received from gifts allowed us to train enough volunteers to expand our chat opening hours to be open between 17h and 00h.
