This 5-year-old sire Obourg should be kept an eye upon. When he was 4, the Richebourg's son managed to win the cycle and even this year, with Joris Van Dyck, he rode all his manches of the VLP cycle without faults.
Moreover Obourg descends from a dam of Oberon du Moulin ( v. Laudanum xx ), who is at the same time the father of the super jumping horse Equest Carnute ( Thomas Velin ) .
At the dam's side we find 2 other sires, Jokinal ( L.Philippaerts ) and Pachat II ( J.Lenssens ) , who perform internationally and who have offsprings who have proved to be good jumpers.
From Pachat II we in the mean time know that he is in the damline an excellent producer of horses like Querly Chin or Souvenir vd Heffinck.
